Found this funny and cute Renderman video game like animation. There is a non-commercial version you can use to learn how to use it.

Previously I touched renderman briefly on Blender. Though I would recommend using Maya or Houdini as its more integrated smoothly for those applications.

Renderman XPU

This is probably Rendermans answer to Redshift, and where more renderers like Arnold are going to utilize the GPU to make rendering more realtime.

The last development update here showed how they want to leverage both CPU and GPU to make those final frame renders.

I think its good that many renderers are going this way but right now everyting is CUDA based even Redshift so means you have to use Nvidia Cards for now.
