I am delighted to hear this as I am happy now with Evernote being a better note-taking app. Why blog about this well VIMEO can be used for sharing trailers on your website or other social media platforms.

While Youtube is used as a first choice VIMEO was known among the creative field as a place for professional video showcase from animation, webinars and showreels. It has not become Tiktok like like Youtube chasing the short form trends.

I do hope that Bending Spoons will focus on Art, Craftsmanship, and Creativity in digital mediums, without the AI Slop. The evolution of digital tools should prioritize these fundamental aspects, allowing creative minds to express themselves with authenticity and depth.

However, I do feel that VIMEO will see through some rough transitions such as layoffs. The challenges of adapting to a fast-paced digital landscape can be daunting, and any company, regardless of its stature, must navigate these waters carefully.

There were indeed rumors of Bending Spoons trying for an IPO, and with such aspirations, I hope that VIMEO will survive along with their other products as it transforms. Given the competitive nature of the online video platform market, it will be essential for VIMEO to innovate continually, enhancing user experience while maintaining its unique identity.

Bending Spoons’ business model centers on revamping and developing firms and products they acquire. It had bought file-sharing service WeTransfer in July last year. Its acquisition of Vimeo marks the largest deal in the company’s history.

The Milan-based firm, which owns services such as note-taking tool Evernote and photo editor Remini, plans to expand self-service tools, OTT streaming via Vimeo Streaming, and enterprise offerings, Vimeo CEO Philip Moyer said.
