just found out that video gamer.com the site for gaming news 📰 has been delisted from Google. Right now it’s full of AI Articles after getting bought out by Click Out Media a gambling site. Aftermath site has a long breakdown about how this suspicious media company is gobbling up sites and making Parasite SEO out of them to drive traffic to their gambling and crypto scams products

VideoGamer is a games media site originally founded in 2004 by two university friends, Adam McCann and Tom Orry. In the volatile games media business, two decades are enough for something to be considered ‘legacy’ and, until recently, the VideoGamer brand was rallying around a string of original interviews and excellent reporting.

Then, the site was acquired by ClickOut Media—a Maltese company with ties to gambling and cryptocurrency—and before long, many of the editors responsible for VideoGamer’s recent uptick were gone. Shortly after, the rest of the staff was ejected in a bold pivot towards a site completely occupied by AI-generated articles and fake editors.

AI taking over text

Over at startup daily I came across another article writing about what is the point of making game reviews with AI? AI will not be able to experience a game like humans does.

Event if there is protest AI generated content will still be created.

I generally see the AI is taking over text base content such as blogs these days. I’m not sure if people read AI content with Google already providing AI summaries. Most of the content is called develop along with AI so that means it’s welcome to. You’re gonna read some articles maybe that’s why it’s other than the news.

Video and community moving forward

I am still camera shy but maybe it’s a way to build trust online these days AI video influencer while getting better still have something uncanny about them useful for news but not community building.
