While a lot of YouTubers were discussing about the loss of last of us online I do feel it maybe a good thing with all the failings of live service these days and fatigue felt among gamers. Naughty Dog may have dodged a bullet 🚅 🔫 . It will be interesting to see their next projects.

Expat in Japan

Vinit moved to Japan sometime in 2025.

One thing that I am intrigued is Japan becoming more of a place to run creative game projects along the tech scene here.

What is the reason why Mr. Vinit chose Japan?

Vinit: Since entering the game industry, I have been referring to Japanese game development. I read through game magazines and interviews with creators from the 1990s, and I was very interested in them.

Also, I think Japanese games have a strong “vision”. The Nintendo work I recently played is like that, and I had the opportunity to talk to Hidetaka Miyazaki from Software, and once again I felt that I liked the style of the director’s strong vision.

And I am an overseas developer, but I think that if I combine the style with a strong Japanese vision and the style of incorporating opinions from various overseas perspectives, we can create something amazing. ” It’s like “East Meets West”.
