In his YouTube video he is trying to explain the Anno game for using AI assets and somehow it got by quality check on published.

I do feel that there is some good use cases for using AI Assets in production as it allows you to visualise the game quicker. But still some things slip through the cracks during checking.

I actually don’t mind some of the background objects be AI or small objects in game, but for the hero assets do make it by hand as we need human creativity and emotion put into it, but for the same repetitive stuff like 100 th rock ai generate is ok same for some of these background assets.

But I don’t want AI to fully replace many parts of the production process, there is something loss when everything is fully automated it loses some soul.

Some of the text to speech training of ai voice will put voice actors out of work.

Unfortunately Costs are also a concern and I do believe big companies will insert more AI process into the productions of games assets, it will be common place just a matter of when.

It’s up to the developers to see how to make use of AI in their art process and to ensure that it customizable to their visual style as much as possible and not just left there in shipping phase.
